The Steyning Athletic Club 2022

Our annual awards took place on Saturday 26th November.

There were many outstanding performances over the last year.

Highlights included:

Shane Bridgman winning Performance of the Year for his efforts at the extreme ironman distance in the Lake District - where he clocked the quickest swim (2.4 miles) of all the finishers, followed by a hilly bike section (112 miles), and finally scaling Scarfell Pike as part of the marathon distance run (26.2 miles);

Coach(es) of the Year were Camilla Bishop and Juliet Starbuck, who have built the newly successful SAC Inters section of the club (ages 12 to 16), and led Steyning AC to winning the Junior West Sussex Fun Run League in 2022.
